Dr Steffen Decker will focus on the management of growing patients from the age of 5 years through to adulthood with Clear Aligners and AI technology. The knowledge received will strengthen the clinical scope of practice with Early Intervention and treatment of teenagers using Clear Aligners.
- 96 hours in total of CPD
- (Broken down into 3 days, 4 times a year- face to face)
- Up to 2 hours per month of mentor sessions
Module 1
- Growth and Development
- Patient Assessment and Risk Management
- Introduction into case presentation of Dr Decker cases
Module 2 & Module 3
- Biomechanics of tooth movement
- Understanding the biomechanics and the staging with demonstrations on Dr Decker’s cases
- Introduction in Function and Occlusion in growing patients
Module 4
- Functional Occlusion
Module 5 – 3D printed devices and hand on
- Treatment of malocclusions with a skeletal origin
- Insertion of palatal miniscrews on typodonts
- Fitting of a Rapid Palatal Expander on typodonts
Throughout the course reference will be made to the following occlusions
- Class 1, Class 2, Class 2 Div 1, Class 2 Div 2, Class 3
- Leeway Space and Crowding
- Crossbite
- Open Bite
- Agenesis - missing teeth and hypodontia
- Impacted teeth
- Palatal expansion with and without 3D printed devices
- Hybrid cases (Combination of 3D printed devices and aligners)
- RME, Hybrid RME, Palatal Miniscrews
Dr Steffen Decker is extremely passionate about treatment of growing patients, using a holistic approach and he belongs to the top Clear Aligner providers in the world.
He has achieved this by predominantly treating children with Clear Aligners from the age of 5yrs. His practice has grown considerably over the last 4 years since he resumed the protocols that he used in his practice in Germany and Switzerland.
