About Invisalign® First / Phase 1 treatment
Invisalign First is a type of early interceptive orthodontic treatment designed specifically for children and young patients who still have their primary or baby teeth. It uses a series of clear, removable aligners to gradually shift teeth into their proper position.
The Invisalign First system is it is specifically designed to address issues that are common in younger patients, such as overcrowding, spacing issues, and bite problems.
Invisalign First aligners are virtually invisible, so they are a popular choice for young patients who may be self-conscious about wearing braces. They are also comfortable to wear and easy to clean, since they can be removed for eating, brushing, and flossing.

Invisalign® First FAQs
Typically, Invisalign first is worn as long as necessary to create enough space for all the permanent teeth to erupt. Invisalign caters for children from the ages of 6-9. After which the treatment would be Invisalign Teen.
The brace is worn all the time and only removed for eating.
Aligners are changed every 5-7 days. All the aligners are given to the parents at the start of treatment.
- We are available to talk to on the phone, via email and in person.
- We will see your child every 10-12 weeks for Invisalign review appointments to assess the progress.
- Our remote care system means you can scan your child’s teeth at home, the scan is submitted to us at The Orthodontic Specialist so we can monitor the progression. The remote care app also has a messaging system so you can easily get in touch with us.
